Easter Festivities!

This morning before we left for the Easter Party at Daddy's work, I got to dye Easter Eggs for the very first time!
I used the wire egg getter outer for a few of the eggs, but I found out that my hand worked MUCH better! Now my right hand looks like the Incredible Hulk! After dying eggs, we headed to the Victoria Home up in Ossining---the nursing home where Daddy works. They always throw the best parties! A lot of the residents were there and they even had party food and party punch---yum!
They had a clown who was making animals out of balloons and painting faces. He painted my face just like the Easter bunny, with buck teeth and all.

Since it was raining today, they had the Easter egg hunt in doors. I racked up quite the egg stash and I even found a silver and gold egg, which meant I won a special prize (it was a goody bag with extra candy, a yoyo and a Mickey mouse toy)! Notice what shoes I am wearing. This was the first thing I put on when I got up and I literally haven't taken them off since. (See yesterdays post for details.)

What a fun Easter Eve day!!!

Ode to Rusty!

Jeremy's 11 year old friend, Rusty, passed away today. He was much loved and had become best buds with his Papaw Payne. He will be missed by all of us!

Thanks Mimi and Doc!

I got to open the package I got from Mimi and Doc today! It had an Easter basket for Me, Mommy, and Daddy and a present just for me!

Thanks to i-chat, Mimi got to watch me open ALL of my gifts. Sometimes I will go over to the computer and point and say either Mimi or Papaw (even when it's not on), since this is the main way we communicate with the grand parents b/c they live so far away!

So cool!  I got a new rain coat and rain boots! I LOVED them, but I especially loved the boots. It took me a few minutes to get used to them. I was walking around the den like I was walking on the moon or in ski boots.

Getting my flash on!
I would have totally worn these boots to bed. I cried and cried when Mom took them off of me. I kept saying "shoes, shoes, shoes!!!" Thank you SO much for my Easter happies! I can't wait to see you next week! Love, Luke (and mommy and daddy)

Photo Shoot Disaster!

2 almost 2 year olds + 2 almost 3 month olds = photo shoot disaster!
Since the Hill's were coming to Irvington after their Easter pictures were going to be dressed up anyway. Annie and I decided to dress Katie and Luke up too... in high hopes of getting a good picture of all the kids together. Well, yesterday just happened to be CRANKY baby/toddler day and they were NOT having it. As you can see I got some great shots! Haha!  Morganne's faces are priceless!

Even baby Katie was not having it!

Do Ri Me

This is Luke's very favorite song to sing. When we ask him if he wants to sing, he immediately says "Do!"

Palm Sunday

Guess what I did yesterday?....I sat in the Easter Bunny's lap and was such a HAPPY CAMPER about it!!! I think what helped was that my good friend and neighbor, Katie, was such a trooper and sat in his lap first.  This Easter bunny was much cuter, than last year's bunny, too. After church, we met the Metcalfe's at the Danbury mall to see the Easter bunny and then headed to the Hill's for a cook out. It was so much fun being with all of our friends! We have to get as many play dates in as we can in these last two months up here!!!
Hey Morganne, Do you think I could be any more relaxed?
Enough with this egg hunting thing....I just want the candy or puffs in this case!!!!
Playing with Morganne after dinner....we were naming body parts and waiting on dessert!
Do I look like I'm ready to go home yet, Daddy? I think not!

Go Knicks!

Dad got a super sweet deal on Knicks tickets (his student ticket was only $15!), so we got to go see the Knicks play at Madison Square Garden today. It was a 1 o'clock game which worked perfectly into my daily nap schedule, since I usually take a nap about 3pm. Mom thought I would barely last through the first half, but Mom and Dad brought a secret weapon. See picture below....
I LOVED every minute of the game. It was so much fun to cheer with everyone else. Even though I didn't quite understand why I was clapping, I clapped with the best of them. Even though the Knicks lost, I had such a good time. Not to mention, I got to have a hot dog, chips, popcorn, and my very first taste of cotton candy!
This little contraption was the secret to our success and the best $19 we have ever spent. It is a little fold up booster seat that clips on to any chair. It kept Luke confined and he sat here the entire game (aside from the quick walk around the garden during half time.)
P.S. (Sorry for the quality of the pictures...they would only let us bring in our point and shoot camera. No Nikon D60 today. Bummer :) Oh yeah, and the hat in the first picture came with the bag of cotton candy. Bonus! )
