Cab Driving Job?

I decided to take a late night cab driving job to try to make a little extra cash!
Man, I think I am liking this job!
"You wanna be let off here?....You got it!. That'll be $12.50!"
"Hey, that guy left without giving me a tip! Maybe this job isn't cool after all!"

Movie in the Park

A couple of times during the summer, the Irvington parks department shows a movie in the park. This week they were showing Shrek the 3rd, so the Paynes and the Metcalfes decided to check it out.
The girls relaxed.......while the boys threw the frisbee.

Check out the movie screen behind me. We put down a blanket and got ready for the show!
I relaxed and watched the show for a little while, but the movie actually started AFTER my bedtime. So about 40 minutes into the movie, I was ready for bed and since I refuse to sleep when ANY thing else is going on, we decided to call it a night and head back up the hill to our house. Dave and Annie decided to call it an early night too, since the baby-to-be needed to get to sleep as well.

14 facts at 14 months!

Whew! It has been a fast 14 months. I can't believe I am 14 months old today! Here are some random fun facts about me!
1. Finally, just shy of 14 months, on July 7th I decided it was time to really walk without any coaxing and I haven't looked back since!
2. My favorite toys are the big people toys, i.e., cell phones, TV remotes, Wii remotes, printer buttons, the buttons on the TV. Pretty much all of the things that Mom and Dad DON'T want me to have. I will also pass up every toy on the floor just to play with an empty puff container or piece of paper.
3. The only cat who will tolerate me in small doses is the three legged one, Trinity. She will let me pull and tug for a few minutes, but when I start my high pitched screech and come away with a fist full of fur she has had enough and runs for cover.
4. I seem to favoring my right hand, but it is too soon to tell in that department, I guess.
5. I can say the following words, Dada, Momma, Hi and Uh (the first part of uh-oh).
6. My favorite thing to watch is the Baby Einstein Baby Wordsworth- Things around the House DVD. There is a puppet that looks just like Trinity.
7. I make the cutest little "happy" laugh whenever we go "bye-bye" out the front door. I am just as happy once we finally make it back home from whatever it is that we have been doing. Most likely we have gone to the library or to Target.
8. No matter how tired I am, when the car shuts off I wake right up (even out of a deep sleep) to see what's happening next. I don't want to miss anything EVER!
9. I sleep for 11-12 hours a night and on most days I take a mid-morning nap and late afternoon nap. I am in bed by 8:30pm almost every night.
10. Any time I see that the bath room door is open, I make a bee line toward the toilet. Much to my parents dismay, I have actually made it there a few times just to splash around. Luckily, my parents are always just a step behind.
11. I clap for ANYthing-- when I listen to iTunes, when music comes on during TV shows or commercials, even when I hear people clapping on the radio.
12. I don't have time for diaper changes anymore. I squirm and roll over mid diaper change which makes it almost impossible for anyone to change me!
13. I have learned how to do zerberts and I try to get mommy and daddy on their belly's all the time. I haven't quite gotten the blowing part down, but I think this is such a fun game!
14. If I see anyone with an oreo in their hand, you had better be willing to share. I had a little taste last week and I am hooked!

These Shoes were Made for Walking!!!....

Oh, yeah! I have this walking thing down! When Mimi was up for a visit, she got me my first "official" walking shoes. I had some shoes for cruisers, but now I have been upgraded to an official "walker." These shoes are stage 3 walkers and were just what Mommy was looking for. Thanks, Mimi! Check out how I am "pulling" Mommy along.

Grace Baptist Annual Picnic

This past Sunday our church, Grace Baptist, in Chappaqua, NY had their annual church picnic. It was a beautiful summer day with a little bit of a nice summer breeze. There are 6 total children who were all born last summer, so it is so much fun to go to church every week to see my friends. The food was great- always an eclectic mix- since there are so many difference races and ethnicities represented in our little church.
Here I am sneaking a little bite of brownie from Brother Steve and his grand daughter, Julia.
I love flirting with Mrs. Halo! She is so sweet and loves me so :)

Thanks Mimi!

My Mimi came to visit my mommy and me while daddy went down to GA to visit his family for  a few days. Mimi came up to stay with me on Wednesday and half a day on Friday while Mommy was at work. We had such a fun time just hanging out at the house, walking down to the park, playing down by the Hudson and waiting in line for 3 hours to get the new iphone at the apple store! We sure had fun!!! Thanks for coming up to see me and mommy. I love you!

Look Mom, No hands!

I am getting really talented at this whole walking thing. I can even walk and drink out of my sippy cup at the same time AND I can do it with NO hands! Ha!

4 th of July Festivities 2008!

Mmmm....when do we cut the American Flag cake?!....I'm hungry!!!

Family Fun at the Irvington Park! There was a live band, an ice cream truck, and a tent with hamburgers and hot dogs. We got to the park at about 7pm and by 8:30pm the park was packed! It was so much fun and since we were right on the water, the heat actually wasn't too bad. They said it was going to rain and so far so good---just a little over cast. I loved playing on the blanket with mommy, listening to the music, and swinging on the swings, of course!

What a perfect little toddler foot!

My friend Morganne and her mom and dad even dropped by the watch the fireworks!

Question of the day?.....Will I like the fireworks or not?........

Answer:.....I actually did NOT like the fireworks at first. The lights were pretty cool, but the loud noises were not so great. After a few minutes of fussing, I got used to them and thought they were OK. But then as soon as the fireworks started, it started to rain as well! So there we were in our rain jackets watching these really LOUD lights in the sky! Are we having fun yet?

Whew!....it is WAY past my bedtime!.... Is anyone else tired?

A Fouth of July Flashback!

This was me just one year ago last July the 4th. I was only 6 weeks old and Mom, Mimi and Aunt Liz had to prop me up and put this flag in my hand. I wasn't even really smiling yet.

Here I am one year later, holding the American flag like a champ and smiling like a pro! What a difference a year makes! Happy 4th of July!!!

Ashley and Richard's Wedding

Check out the happy couple as they dance their first dance at their reception at the Club.
My Great Grandmother Marion kept me while the rest of the fam went to the Adams/Davidson wedding on Saturday night. I had such a good time swinging, eating dinner, and trying to open all the doors to make a quick escape out of the den, but I especially like the rocking and singing before I went to sleep.
Swimming in the pool just a few hours before the wedding began. Mom loves this "action" shot!
This is a picture of Mommy in the Alabama room. Yes, the Adams are HUGE AL fans and they had a room dedicated to it at the reception.  The Grooms cake was the AL football field and they had popcorn (my mom's all time FAVORITE snack) and even little mini- hot dogs with all the fixin's. They even had little "krystal" burgers and fries at one point!

I got dunked!

When we were in Mobile this past weekend for the wedding, I got to swim in Mimi and Popi's pool a lot. Since I am a big 13 month old now, I got to really "swim" this year. I was loving the pool so much that Mom and Dad decided that it was time to "dunk" me!  I took it all in stride as always and had a grand old time, but my favorite thing was watching my Uncle Paddy and his friends, William and Michael jump off the diving board. They are totally crazy! :)
