Mom's new camera!

Mom finally got a new camera after five years....she has over doubled the mega pixels she had before and has totally enjoyed taking thousands of pictures of her favorite photography subject.....ME!!! :)
Check out this action shot! Man, this camera is awesome!
Yes, I am still the toothless wonder and I am still teething like crazy.
Oh yeah! Check out my new big boy bath contraption.... I graduated out of my baby bath! Does anyone think I look like Alfalfa?

Farmer Payne

Yeehaw! You can take the boy out of the south, but not the south out of the boy! Even though I was born in Connecticut, I have the south running through my blood!
Maybe I will grow tomaters in a vegetable garden one day like my Papaw Payne and Great Granddaddy Jack! I know my mommy would love that : )

On the Train again

Playing with daddy on the train into the city. One of the advantages of living so close to NYC is being able to ride the train into the city any time we want. Last Saturday we went in for some soul food and chocolate... The Pink Tea Cup in the village has the best fried cat fish and grits anywhere, at least any where in the north east.....and I am very picky about my grits and they are as southern as they come! The fried cat fish is awesome, but nobody's fried cat fish is as good as my granddaddy's paper bag cat fish. For dessert, we took the subway over to Union square to Max Brennar's for some chocolate. Jeremy had his banana split milk shake and I had the Italian thick hot chocolate....SOOOO yummy! Of course, we had to pick up some Junior's cheesecake at Grand Central before hoping back on the train. What a fun day in the city :)

8 months old

I just passed the 8 month mark....no teeth yet, but one is almost out. I am not quite walking yet, but I like to practice walking with mom and dad and I am getting really brave walking down the couch holding on with only one hand.

Luke's First Hair cut

After putting this off for a few months, I finally agreed for Luke to have his first haircut. As uncle Paddy put it when he was up at New Year's "You gotta do something about Luke's hair! It looks so nappy!" We went to see Jeremy's hair stylist (for those of you who know Jeremy, yes, he has a hair girl! Imagine that! Haha.) Her name is Zinie and she is the sweetest thing! At first we were going to get his hair cut while he sat in my arms, but he was doing so well, we ended up letting him sit on his own in the booster seat, so mommy and daddy could take pictures and videos.
Another before shot.... This pitcure doesn't do his hair justice. He had this really long curl on the right side and nothing on the left side and his hair was really long on top because all of this hair is over 8 months old- this is the hair that he has had since he was born!
He was such a good boy! He didn't even move hardly. He just sat at watched her in the mirror! My little boy is growing too fast!
(Notice my mommy holding the locks of my hair to put in my baby book.) The after....now I really do look like a little man! Now that the dead hair is gone, it really looks like my hair is going to lighten up.

Watch me "walk" down the couch....

I have gotten really good at "walking" next to the couch. I have even gotten pretty good at getting myself from standing back to crawling.

A hard day at the Office

Whew! It's been a hard day at the office! I can't wait to kick back and have a few bottles of milk before bed!

Music Men :)

Ah, daddy's guitar playing brings me back to being into the womb when daddy would play and mommy would sing. I had to study this instrument for a few minutes since it has been a while since daddy played.
I quickly got the hang of it and wanted to play, too!
Oh, yeah! I am going to play one of these one day!
I went over to back daddy up on the piano. Man, we sound good!

I am a standing man!

I love standing at my learn and groove that my mimi and popi gave me for Christmas! I can make all kinds of music with it!
I also love to stand by the bathtub and watch the water run for my bath. Look at beamer, that crazy cat. I am going to catch those cats one day, but for now they stay well clear of me.

Oink Oink!

After being at or below the 5th percentile for weight for almost 8 months, I am finally above the the 5th and out of the red. I actually gained 4 pounds in 6 weeks! I am now 17 pounds 3.5 ounces. I have finally gotten this whole eating thing and the only thing I really don't care for is the green peas. So far, I am eating baby applesauce, green beans, sweet potatoes, peaches, green peas (yuck), squash, bananas, rice cereal and oatmeal. When we went for the weight check our MD said that I could start having baby crackers and cheerios. Hey, Dave.....I can have cheerios now! Can you believe it? My mommy hasn't ventured into that territory yet, but I am sure that there will be pictures galore when we go down that road.

Big boy high chair

For Christmas, Mimi and Popi took all of us (my mom and dad, uncle paddy and aunt liz and uncle kyle) to the castle in Tarrytown. It was such a nice vacation. We got to be there through New Year's. When we went to afternoon tea, I got to do something I had never done before...I got to sit in the big boy high chair. I read my book while everyone else drank tea and ate little mini- sandwiches, but I didn't care because I was sitting with the big folks. Is this table really high....or am I really this short???
Mmmmmm....this book tastes good!

Christmas in Irvington

Wow, Santa even came to see me at our house in Irvington, too! I must have been a really good boy this year! :)
I got a lot of books and a few toys, but my favorite thing to do was just to get to stand up by the couch. I love to stand.
I also liked my new talking puppy dog. She sings and teaches my colors and body parts.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!

Christmas in Connecticut at the Inigo's

Yummy Christmas breakfast....french toast, egg casserole and grits. Mmmmm...too bad I only got to have my baby sweet potatoes!
Me and Mommy and Daddy Christmas morning in CT.
I loved the presents under the tree....what?....are they not all for me?
Merry Christmas to me....I loved all of my new toys, especially my new set of keys (my daddy said too bad they don't go to a brand new car).
The whole gang....Dave and Annie (our next door neighbors), The Metcalfe's (Dave's Parents from Maine) and The Inigo's (Annie's parents whose house we stayed at in CT). I also loved my new baseball. Go Yankee's! .... Well, I am a New Yorker you know!

My Christmas Long John's

These are the baby long john's that my great aunt Karen and Uncle Donald sent to me. They are are perfect fit! My mommy loves how my feet show through at the bottom.
Hahaha, mommy! Thanks for showing my bottom to friends and family. What is up with these pajamas anyway?! I still don't get it! Is there a draft in here?
(No potty accidents occured while taking these pictures :)
