NYC with GJ+GB: Day 2
Hanging out on the terrace of our room. Mimi and Doc so generously let us have the mini-suite with the terrace, so we could have a place to hang out after little man went to bed. It was so much fun and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
We had a private tour 4 hour tour that took us to all of the NYC highlights. It was great because it was a little rainy Saturday morning. We walked a few blocks in Time Square while GB stayed in the van. They had the street blocked off so we were literally walking down Broadway.
At about 1pm, it was time for a lunch break and our tour guide, Marshall, suggested Joe's pizza. It was almost as good as Grimaldi's, but not quite :) There is nothing better than eating a slice on the streets of NYC!
While we were on the tour, we just so happened to pass by the original Magnolia Bakery and we just HAD to stop. It was self serve and Mimi and I had a blast choosing all different kinds! We saved them for later....
Mmmm....I LOVE these cupcakes!
After the tour and a quick cupcake break at the hotel, it was time for more exploring. We headed straight for Rockefeller Center and on to Central Park....
No trip to NYC is complete without buying a whole stash of $5 pashminas!!! Mimi and I also got side tracked by some $5 jewelry!
Ah, there's nothing like a nice rest in Central Park and what did we do?....played on our i-phones. We have to stay current with facebook ;)
"Now if I could just figure out how to get past this last rock!..."
On our way to our favorite Italian spot, Bottega Del Vino, I spotted a street fair and Mimi and I just HAD to stop....what sane person can resist $2 jewelry, $5 sunglasses, and knock off designer purses!!! Needless to say, we spent WAY too much time shopping and the rest of our group heading to the restaurant to get the table. I LOVE street fairs!
Another wonderful weekend in the city! Thanks again, Mimi and Doc, for treating us to such a great time! This was us hanging out in the room looking over all of the days purchases! I can't believe the weekend has flown by so quickly! FUN TIMES!!!
NYC with GJ+GB: Day 1
After the quick train ride by the Hudson River from Irvington, we were in Grand Central!
We headed straight to the NYC waterway for a boat ride around Manhattan. It was a little overcast with a slight breeze, but at least the rain held off. After a few minutes, Lukie crawled into my lap and went right to sleep. I love it when he is cuddly.
Great Granddaddy Jack and the Statue of Liberty...priceless.
MMM....eating cotton candy after dinner at the four seasons. I loved it so much, I was shoving it in hand over fist.
After dinner, Mom went with Mimi, Doc, GB and GJ to the show, Wicked, while Dad and I went back to the Waldorf to watch B-ball! I enjoyed that as much as everyone else enjoyed the play!

GB and GJ Day 2: Lyndhurst Castle
After a tour of Irvington, Burke, Central Ave, and Stew Leonard's and lunch at the greek place, we headed to Lyndhurst Castle for a guided tour.
The grounds of Lyndhurst are so beautiful and all of the trees and flowers are finally blooming! I was listening and being such a good boy until they told us that we couldn't bring the stroller into the castle. Let's just say that antiques and I don't mix, not to mention that you mean I have to stay QUIET...I don't think so. After about 2 minutes in the castle, Doc had to take me out and let me RUN! Thanks for entertaining me while everyone else was inside. The best part of the afternoon was getting to see the groundhog pop out of his hole. Thanks again, Doc!
After the tour, we headed back to the hotel to regroup before dinner. We ate at Harvest on Hudson tonight and since I missed my nap this afternoon, the first half of the meal was AWESOME. Mom, Dad, and Mimi took turns taking me outside to play. I was MUCH better once they brought my chicken fingers and berries. So much fun and lots more fun to come this weekend, but now it's time for me to go Night, Night!

GJ and GB visit NY!
Fun times!... my GREAT Grandmother Betty (GB) and GREAT Granddaddy Jack (GJ) came up to visit with Mimi and Doc. We are SO happy they are here to see where we live! The dinner at the Red Hat was taking WAY too long, so we came outside to play.
A group shot...I am hiding behind the glasses between Mom and Dad. We MUST get a better group pic!
Blowing dandelions with Mimi after dinner.... This was TOO much fun! More festivities tomorrow!

B-ball
Luke is ALL BOY! Check out how excited he gets over basketball! (In case you can't tell he is yelling GO!!!)
A few more things....
to add to the cute things Luke is saying from the previous post. Luke has now learned the word burp and like to announce to us EVERY time he or his daddy has burped.... pronounced "buhp."
Another thing he is doing is saying Thank you for things without our prompting. We have been getting him to say 'thank you' but having to tell him to say it first. Well, he can now say it all on his own and he says it a lot. Like today I set his lunch on his tray and he said thank you....pronounced "tank you!" Oh yea, and he actually asks to watch "bee-ball" since it seems like Jeremy has basketball on ALL THE TIME now. This talking thing is SO much fun!!!
