School Christmas Party!

This past Thursday my school had a Christmas party! Parents were invited, so Mom made sure to be there. To calm us down, Miss April had us color a butterfly picture before most of the parents got there (Mommy was early to make sure she got some pictures of EVERY thing- imagine that!). Mommy was so impressed how nicely I sat in my chair... She said that would never happen at home :) (P.S.Mommy got some really cute pictures of me and my friends, but she forgot to get permission from the other parents, so she didn't feel like she could post them. The one's with just me will have to do :)
I got to show off our "color" bulletin board. I am learning new things all the time and I loved getting to show Mommy how much I have learned!
It wouldn't be a party without some whip cream! Mmmm....I LOVE sweets. (I ate the fruit only after I had licked up all the good stuff first!)
Mom, do we have to do this right now? I'm trying to eat!
"Bye, Miss April! See you in 2010!"

This is Christmas

Last weekend Spring Hill Baptist Church's choir performed their annual Christmas program, This is Christmas. We have been practicing since August and it was SO much fun to have 5 family members in it! It was Jeremy's first one and it had been 8 years since I had sang in it. We were so glad that Momma and Poppa Payne came all the way from Ringgold to see it, too! It is always a busy weekend b/c we have two performances on Sat and Sun at 4pm and 7pm, but it is totally worth it! My favorites were "Where Shepards Lately knelt" and "The Awakening."

The First Ornament...

The first ornament on our tree this year was a "stained glass" paper bell Luke made at story hour yesterday. He is always so proud of his art work and when I told him we could hang it on the tree his eyes lit up! He was so happy to see his ornament hanging on the tree.

Our Resident Comedian!

I don't know what possessed this kid to stick his hand down his outfit like this! I don't know if it was because of the end of the day and we were all tired, but as soon as he did it, Luke and I busted out laughing. And I'm talking, laugh til it hurts- tears in your eyes laughing---the BEST kind of laughing! And the more he did it, the more we laughed. I was so glad Jeremy was close by with the camera to catch his antics. It was such a great way to end a long day! I love this silly, quirky child of mine.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

The before...
The 9 foot tree got delivered late last night....
Decorating Mimi and Doc's tree was a joint effort this year! Paddy and Liz were over this afternoon and Mom and I had just so happened to pick up some new lights this year, so we decided to get the lights on the tree. Mimi decided to go retro this year and get the over sized colored lights.
Lukie got up from his nap just in time to help with a few strands.
Here he is "helping" his Daddy on the ladder.

The after:
I LOVE the colored lights and it actually took us NO time to get them on and we needed a lot less strands than the small white lights we have had the past few years. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

SEC Championship!!!

Since Mom and Dad had season tickets this year, they were able to put in a bid for 4 SEC championship tickets AND they GOT them!!! They asked us to go with them and we, of course, said YES!!! Grandmother Marion agreed to keep Luke overnight and we drove up and got to Atlanta at 1pm. The game started at 4pm, so we had plenty of time to grab a bite to eat and walk to the Georgia Dome. Walking to the stadium, they fans were relatively calm. Little did we know, the game would turn out how it did....
Alabama showed up to play and totally DOMINATED the ENTIRE game. Mom and I kept looking at each other in total disbelief b/c it seemed like EVERY thing went our way!
We are #1 and it's on to the National Championship in Pasadena, CA!!!
