6th anniversary.... blowout or bust?

Answer: Big fat BUST! Happy 6th anny to the best, sweetest, perfect for me husband in the entire world. So instead of living it up and going out to dinner what did we end up doing instead of the above picture taken earlier in the week?...
Jeremy did a lot of this: sleeping and resting because he has the SWINE FLU! Two weeks ago Luke had it, last week Doc had it and now Jeremy AND aunt Liz have it. I am hoping and praying that I am somehow naturally immune to it! And here's to hopefully getting to celebrate our anny NEXT weekend!

Fun times Friday!!!

Check this out.......
Mimi got me the coolest "happy" yesterday and gave it to me today (after Daddy gave it a good cleaning and tightened up all the screws). She just happened to be passing by a consignment shop and she found this!!!....
A TRAIN table!!! Since I love my trains so much AND I have so much track that it no longer fits on the coffee table.... she got me this. The Thomas the Train table we have been looking at on- line was over $400 and she got this one for only $36!!! It is just my height, it fits my train just perfectly, and it even has a huge drawer for all my other stuff!
I love when ANYone will play trains with me. I will tell you to "sit down!" and "play."

I also had my very first ride in a convertible tonight! I thought it was the GREATEST thing and the whole ride I kept saying "fun! fun!" I also kept holding my hand up and saying "feel it!" (in regards to feeling the wind whip by.) It was so much fun and I can't wait to take another ride. Thanks Doc and Mimi for a F-U-N Friday!!!

Story Hour

Wednesday mornings, Mommy and I go to the downtown library for their story hour. It is so much fun because we sing songs, tell nursery rhymes, read books, play with puppets, and make crafts. Miss Val is so sweet and tries to keep it together with all of us crazy 2 years olds. Today the theme was rain and I made an umbrella book mark!
After story hour, I get to pick out some books to check out of the library. Today I picked out a book about tug boats! I love our trips to the library!

T-town two weeks in a row....

Last weekend I went up to Tuscaloosa on Friday night with Mimi, Mommy, and Daddy. We got to eat at the Waysider before the 11:20am game and I only lasted a couple of quarters because I still wasn't feeling my best. It was a quick trip up and probably my only game of the season. Too bad I couldn't really enjoy it :)
On Saturday, Mom, Dad, Aunt Liz and Uncle Kyle left before I woke up to watch the AL-Arkansas game. They got to do some tailgating before the game and got to enjoy the entire game this weekend. I happily played with Mimi and decorated her house for Halloween. It was a great day for everyone!

Package from Mamaw& Papaw

We got some "happies" in the mail today from Mamaw and Papaw! There were some homegrown peppers and tomatoes and some homemade salsa.... And best of all there were TEN lollipops just for me!!! As soon as I saw them in the box, my face lit up like it was Christmas Morning! Thanks for all of our goodies. I tried to send a heartfelt video, but I was too distracted by my lollies! Thanks again!!!

And the verdict is......

SWINE FLU!!!
Yep, you heard it first here (maybe not exactly first here since my husband decided to make the announcement on facebook a few hours ago, so now hundreds of people know!).... Anyway.... my poor little baby has duh, duh, duh.... the swine flu. Ugh, I hate saying it, I hate writing it, and I hate blogging it, but most of all I hate that he has it! It just sounds bad and dirty and just NOT something my little boy should have, but we went to the doctor today and based on his symptoms and a few quick tests, it was confirmed :( If he doesn't look that bad in the picture above it's because he didn't have a fever at this point in the day and when he doesn't have a fever he acts like his normal wild and crazy self, well, maybe taken down just a notch or two.

He was the BEST patient ever today! He interacted with our new pediatrician and let him do all of the tests without fuss. Even Dr. Hall said he did extremely well for "a two year old." Then came time for the blood sample and again the nurse pricked his finger and he didn't even wimper. He just watched what she was doing and then made sure he got a band aid for his boo boo. She said that his disposition had made her day! I think the reason he did so well is because I explained step by step what the doctor and nurse were going to do, i.e., first he's going to knock on the door, then he's going to look in your ears, and eyes ,and mouth, etc. The symptoms that gave it away that it was, in fact, swine flu were the cough, sore throat, and most of all, a fever of 102-104. The good news is that it should be over in 3-5 days. Since he is already on day 3, the doctor didn't put him on the flu medicine. We are just going to keep the fever down with Tylenol, and Motrin, and he prescribed some medicine for the cough.
Hopefully, by Thursday, we will have our healthy little boy back!
