Since Philadelphia is less than two hours away, we decided to head down for the weekend. Our next door neighbors, Dave and Annie, came, too! We got to see Independence Hall, the liberty bell and we even got to walk up the "Rocky" steps outside of the Philly Museum of Art. Yes, that is a pic of Mario Battalli. We got to "meet" him outside at the famous Pat's Philly cheese steak restaurant. We actually didn't quite meet him, Annie and I totally got yelled at for trying to take his picture. Whatever! At least we did get it even if he was a butt about it. Luke was great all weekend, just like always! He is such a little traveler!

My new Trick
New Orleans
While we were in Mobile, we took a side trip to New Orleans to support my uncle as he took the M-CAT. We went down and just stayed one night. I really liked the jazz music until my mommy got to close to the trumpet player. We got the picture, but I was not happy about it! Mommy and mimi got to shop and we got to get some beignets at Cafe du Monde, but it was way TOO hot! We also got to go to Galitore's which made everyone very happy!
Mobile, Alabama
There were so many things to do and people to see while we were in Mobile. Even though we were there for three weeks, the time flew by! Of course, my mom and dad had a long list of places they just HAD to go and eat both in TN and in AL. Some of the places included, the Dew Drop, Butch Cassidy's, Bones, and the Spot of Tea! There were so many people that wanted to meet me, including my great aunts and uncles, great grandparents, and second cousins. My mom and dad enjoyed all of the extra help changing diapers . My uncle Paddy is a pro at changing diapers now. My aunt Lizzy refused to change my diapers, especially the dirty ones : )
Daddy turns 30!!!
For Daddy's 30th birthday, we went to his favorite Irish pub, Finn McCool's, to eat chicken wings and play darts! Mommy has been trying to beat daddy at darts since they have been married and on June 23rd she finally did! She even won twice. I slept the whole time, but they showed me the pictures after the fact.

New Mommies
ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!
We were able to go to the first Alabama game of the season! Roll Tide! My mommy has been singing the AL fight song to me and today I got to hear the Million Dollar band along with the whole stadium sing it! I didn't like the crowd noise at first, but I quickly got used to it! AL whooped Western Carolina 52-6. Maybe I will be on the team some day! I hope Saban and the team can keep it up...we will be back in the box for the Tennessee game! Roll Tide Roll!
Great Grandmother and Granddaddy Cunningham
While I was in Mobile for three weeks, I got to meet so many new people, including my great grandmother and granddaddy Cunningham! They were so excited to see me and my great grandmother never grew tired of holding me. One of my favorite napping spots was on her chest. My great great grandaddy Mitchell made this cradle for my mommy when she was born and now thirty years later I am able to use it! I LOVED it!
My first plane ride...
Georgia Vacation
After my very first plane ride, we got to visit our family in Georgia! I got to meet my Great Granny Plank, my cousins Madison and Jared, and my name sake Luke and Carolyn Rutherford. My Mamaw even cooked my daddy his favorite fried chicken! I loved my cousins from the moment I laid eyes on them. We were instant friends!
July the 4th
For the week of July the 4th, the Murphy clan came up for a visit! I had never met my Aunt Lizzy and crazy uncle Kyle or my cool uncle Paddy and his girlfriend Libby! We had a great time. I had already been to the city once, so it was great fun showing my peeps around town! Of course, my Popi took us to some fabulous restaurants while they were here!

Days and Nights
I had my days and my nights mixed up at first and I was eating every hour and a half, but my mommy and daddy hung in there. Everyone keeps raving about what a good baby I was. The only time I would fuss and cry was when I was hungry. In fact that is how I still am! And now I am sleeping through the night, which makes my mommy and daddy extremely happy!
Mamaw and Papaw
My Mimi and Popi
My Mimi and Popi came to see me when I was just a few days old. They live all the way down in Alabama! I was so happy to finally meet them in person and they were ecstatic to meet me. They sure did help my mommy and daddy. My mommy was especially grateful they came to see us. They were such a huge help! (I had to give my mommy and daddy a break because they sure were new at this whole baby thing!)
Going Home
After two short days in the Hospital in Greenwich, CT, it was time to go home to Irvington, NY. Notice my Alabama hat and my Tennesse booties. I havn't told mommy and daddy which team I will root for yet...it is too much fun seeing them sweat it out! Look at how big my new born out fit is on me!... Thanks for the warm blanket, Aunt Carolyn!
